Scholarship: Currently $1,000 each to (1) a descendent of a member of CNYGCSA and (2) a person entering the turf field. Will address the need to split either if the need arises.

Chapter consolidation: WNYGCSA & FLAGCS considering consolidation. Should CNYGCSA consider also? Would take a couple years to complete the process, by-laws would need to be re-written, discussion regarding pros & cons. Points included networking, executive director, GCSAA National  representation, funds division, schedule coordination, vendor sponsorships, regional identity. Consolidation committee: Steve Kurta, Dean Newton, Ash Gough, Scott Winkleman & Matt Simon.

POA funds: Funds are with NYSTA awaiting disbursement. Discussion on various charities that we could designate that to. Can this be turned back to CNYGCSA for use on the First Tee project?

First Tee project at Butternut Creek: Discussion on the level of participation and funds towards the green construction project.

Vendor sponsorships: Proposed sponsor detail sheet sent out previously. Discussed having a Bronze, Silver and Gold level sponsorships available to CNYGCSA. Changed membership numbers to 2, 6 & 8 for Bronze, Silver & Gold respectively and to be used for employees and/or a superintendents that have not been members in the last 2 years. Motion made and approved as re-written by the board.

POA: Proposed Guideline sheet sent out previously. Should we consider using the POA as more of a showcase event for superintendents vs. a fundraising event. Consider raising price to $400/team. Broken down would approximately yield $200 for the venue, $100 for door prizes and $100 to NYSTA. Tee sponsors would be raised to $200 from $150.
